<p>PURPOSE:To obviate the generation of an image noise and image flow even if image formation by using an image carrying member having a high-hardness coating layer is repeated by developing the electrostatic latent image on the image carrying member by using specific toners. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 is uniformly electrostatically charged by a corona charger 2 and is irradiated with exposing light 3, by which the electrostatic latent image is formed on its surface. The electrostatic latent image is developed by the toners housed in a developing device 4 and is transferred by a transfer charger 6 onto transfer paper 5. The transfer paper 5 having the toner images is separated from the photosensitive drum by a separating charge 7 l. The toners obtd. by subjecting the surfaces to an immobilization treatment of alumina particulates, then subjecting the toners to an external addition treatment with particulates having a BET specific surface area of <=300m<2>/g are used as the toners. The flow property of the toners subjected to the immobilization treatment with the particulates is insufficient and toner flocs are liable to arise in consequence thereof if the BET specific surface area of the particulates is >=3000m<2>/g.</p> |
