ACCELERATION RESPONDING SWITCH AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide an acceleration responding switch which is free from error operation in a wide use temperature range. CONSTITUTION:A conductive inertial ball 7 is put in the inside of a closed container of an acceleration responding switch 1 and a vibration damping liquid 9 consisting of mainly a hydrocarbon liquid to which an alcohol is added is poured to the container and a contact part 6 is fixed in the end part of an insulated and fixed lead terminal 3. The inertial ball 7 is normally positioned near the center and does not touch the contact part 6. When being affected by vibration with a prescribed level or higher, the inertial ball 7 rotates and is brought into contact with the contact part 6 to communicate a housing 5 and the contact part 6 electrically. When the inertial ball 7 moves and circles along the side wall of the housing 5, the inertial ball 7 comes into collision against a collision-contact part and its movement direction is changed and also its movement is limited by the vibration damping liquid 9 and thus the continuous contact between the contact part 6 and the inertial ball 7 is cut and continuous output of an ON-signal is avoided. Even if the limiting effect of the vibration damping liquid 9 is deteriorated the liquid prevents any erroneous operation in coorperation with the collision-contact part.
