PURPOSE:To obtain an ion printer capable of high speed recording through high output concentration ion current. CONSTITUTION:In this ion printer where an electrostatic latent image is formed through the ion current; the ion current is generated by performing discharge near the ion current control electrode 8 of a recording head part 2 after an electrostatic discharger capable of holding charge is electrostatically charged by an electrostatic charger 13, so that the high concentration ion current is generated by performing the discharge at a recording head part 2 after electrostatically charging to be high charge density by the charger 13. Since the electrostatic charging is performed with high density charge at a part distant from the head 2, the high concentration ion current is supplied to the electrode 8, and high speed image recording is realized. |
