For a container in the form of a sterilization strainer basket for use within a package and consequently within a sterilization apparatus, the invention proposes that the bottom of the container be disposed at as short a distance as possible between the container and the packaging. This measure ensures that the formation of foci of pathogenic organisms is prevented.
