The invention concerns a fence-post holder (2), preferably for a fence (8) designed to catch flying objects such as paper and plastic sheets carried by the wind, particularly at rubbish dumps, etc. The holder has a post-support strut (4) with which a fence post (3) can be fixed on the holder at different angles of inclination, preferably in a vertical plane through the longitudinal mid-plane (14) of the post at right angles to the fence, the holder being made of a metal framework preferably having a frame (2a).
