A sign comprises a pleated sheet 20 having formed thereon alternately, between folds 51, parts of two different displays which are exhibited alternately by simultaneously moving adjacent folds 51 in opposite directions. The sheet is of translucent plastics with a translucent display printed or silk-screened thereon, and is rear-illuminated by lamps 58. The top and bottom of each fold 51 is attached to a V- shaped surface of a bracket 25 including a sprocket 28 about which is entrained a chain 35 given intermittent movement in opposite directions by an oscillatory sprocket 31.</p> |
