The invention concerns an arrangement and a procedure for straightening a vehicle. Between the straightening bench 11 and the base frame 10 are vertical control members 14;14a1...14a3 which are connected to the straightening bench 11 on the one hand and to the base frame 10 on the other hand. The purpose of the control members is to operate the raising and lowering movements of the straightening bench 11, also to support the straightening bench 11 and hold it at the required locked-fast working height.
