<p>The hand brake control for a walking trolley or zimmer frame comprises a bracket (2) for attaching to the trolley handle (32) by means of a clamp (3) and a hand lever-operating device (4). If the lever is pulled towards the handle it rotates about the pivot (9), to draw on a Bowden cable (7). There is an additional lever element (6), which normally moves in unison with the hand lever (4). To hold the brake on without hand pressure, the hand lever is pushed, from the release position, further anti-clockwise away from the handle. The lever then rotates about a pivot (10) and turns the element clockwise about another pivot (9), thus drawing back point (8) and applying and holding the brake.</p> |
