The device includes a detector associated with each block of battery elements to be monitored. Each detector is supplied with power by the corresp. block, and measures the voltage on the terminals of the block (F4). This voltage is compared with a threshold value (F5). After a time interval (F6,F7) if the lowering of voltage lasts for a length of time greater than a set value (Ts), a fault signal is transmitted and memorised. A local fault signalling device is provided for each separate local block which is being monitored (F8). |
