Tubular connector for flexible catheters

The connector (4) joins one supple catheter (2) to another by means of an additional tubular component (6), and contains an elastically deformable seal (42) to receive the first catheter which is compressed by the additional component when the connection is made. The connector also contains an elastically deformable hollow member (44) to lock the first catheter in place. The hollow member is situated inside the seal and has an inner transverse hook (50) to engage with the wall of the first catheter, and an outer hook (52) which penetrates the seal wall. The hollow member is in the form of a split ring with its two ends turned inwards and outwards respectively to form the two hooks.
