RECOGNITION CIRCUIT OF KOREAN ALPHABET CODE AND METHOD THEREFOR

The device can classifies a completion-type code and a combination-type code on hardware. It is composed of: (i) a Hangul recognizer(10) which gets a input code and MSB examines them and, if the code is Hangul, generates a Hangul Enable signal(HE); (ii) a font ROM address generator(20) which examines MSB of the second byte of the input code when the Hangul Enable signal(HE) is "1", generates a completion-type address if the MSB is "1" and generates a combination-type address if the MSB is "0"; (iii) a font ROM Enable signal generator(30) which generates a ROM controlling signal(CTL) according to the MSB of the second byte of the code when the Hangul Enable signal(HE) is "1".
