The system is inserted between two co-axial drive shafts (2,3), connecting an electrical motor (4) to an endless wheel drive mechanism (5). Two discs (8,9) are arranged in a plane nearly perpendicular to the shaft axis and support on their peripheries positioning coders (8a,9a) for the discs. The discs are connected to each other and to the shafts by an elastically deformable material (13). Position code detectors (10,11), e.g. using the Hall effect, are positioned with regard to the coders and their outputs are connected to a couple measurer via a general reference (12). Between the two discs in line with the axis of the shafts is an element (14), in the shape of a ballbearing, which is contained in the elastically deformable material. |
