In a die clamp for an injection moulding machine, in the fixed (1) and movable (4) die clamp are fitted movement spindles (36) which can rotate freely in the fixed die clamp (1) and are axially supported in one direction and borne in spindle nuts (39) secured in the movable die clamp (4). For actuating the movement spindles (36) for the closing and opening stroke of the movable die clamp (4) there is a rotary drive (44) and a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit (45, 46) in operative connection with the movement spindles for accumulating the closing force. To ensure that, while maintaining a high closing pressure exerted by the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit, the actuating drive of the movement spindles is to be designed only in accordance with the requirements for fast opening and closing movements, it is proposed that the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit consist of one or more pistons and hydraulic cylinders, to which pressurising agent is applied, for accumulating the closing pressure, by the piston-cylinder unit drivable by the movement spindles with the insertion of pressure transmission devices (19). |
