The plug connector housing has a fast holding element (6) to fixedly hold a connector (2). This primary holding element (6) is arranged in a chamber (7) into which the connector (2) is inserted. The chamber (7) includes a wire holding region (12c). A rear holder (12) is connected to the housing via a hinge (10) at the rear end of the chamber (7). The housing also has a displacement prevention element (14). This is arranged in the chamber (7) and has a width essentially the same as that of a U-shaped opening of the wire holding region (12c). The prevention element (14) is inserted in the U-shaped opening of the wire holding region when the rear holder is locked.
