Compressor unit for production of dry compressed air

The air compressor unit includes equipment to remove all the water vapour so that it can deliver dry compressed air. The drying arrangements incorporate a drier (30) formed as a cooling aggregate for the dehumidification of compressed air containing water vapour as it emerges from the compressor outlet (10). The return arrangements encompass pipes (54,56) which in order to avoid a pressure rise are placed in an upper part of the water tank (26) with pipes (44,46,16) to return the water from the tank to the compressor. The pipes connected to the upper part of the tank have a restriction point (56).
