The oven door has two glass panes (13,14), and an intermediate layer (16) of a material of low heat conductivity. Material layer and glass panes form a laminate (9). The material layer consists of an adhesive, pref. a two-component adhesive, and connects the two glass panes. The laminate also contains a heat distribution panel (15), which consists of a material with good heat conductivity, pref. aluminum, and is pref. located between the glass panes. An adhesive layer is located on either side of the aluminium panel. At least one of the glass panes has a surface (17), which reflects heat radiation.
