<p>Diphosphine dioxides for removing actinides such as Pu, Am and Np from aqueous effluents and fission product concentrates from waste nuclear fuel reprocessing plants. The diphosphine dioxides have one of the following formulae (I) and (II), wherein R?1, R2, R3, R4¿, R and R' are optionally substituted aryl or alkyl groups, and Q and Q' are hydrocarbon chains optionally comprising oxygen, sulphur or nitrogen atoms.</p> |
