A liquid dispenser for dispensing sterile liquid and maintaining the sterility of the liquid after multiple doses is described. The dispenser consists of a container for storing the sterile liquid, a nozzle assembly mounted on the container, and an antimicrobial element coated with an antimicrobial material, e.g., a metallic or non-metallic anti-bacterial, anti-viral or anti-fungal agent or combinations thereof. Methods for producing the device and the antimicrobial element also are provided. |
