The furniture light includes a cylindrical outer casing (3) fitting into the top surface of the furniture (4) and containing a horizontal halogen lamp (12) arranged within a concave, downward radiating cold light reflector (10). The reflector has an opening (1) at its apex, behind which is situated a horizontal heat dissipation plate (20) with space for air to circulate around it, and with a heat absorbent surface facing the reflector. The reflector sits in an inner casing (6) with a channel (18) to draw air between he inner and outer casings and reflector, and air outlets (19) are situated in the top of the outer casing. Light is prevented from escaping through the air outlets by the heat dissipation plate, and one of the glass panes on the lower side of the lamp is also provided with an IR blocking filter (7). |
