Twin=roll machine for pressing friable materials

The pressing machine has two rolls running in opposite directions with a clearance between them and a cylindrical casing containing the rolls. The roll jacket is composed of segments. Its division into segments can be axial or circumferential as required, to form at least two segments (2). The segments have holders and screws to form them into the jacket. The holders are undivided rings (3) spaced from the cylindrical surface of the roll casing (1) axially, alongside the segments. They are pressed in position by screws (5) so that their conical shoulder surfaces (8,9) are pressed virtually flush into side segment recesses (10).
