Inhibiting the formation of calcium carbonate in the drainage dehydration system of a dump for combustion/incineration residues, comprises: (a) circulation of air which is present in the drainage dehydration system; and (b) absorption of carbon dioxide in this air using an absorbent which is present in the circulation system.
