The potentiometer has a rotating knob (1), a ribbon spring (4) and a resistive track (8). The spring (4) ends at the resistive track (8). The fixed resistance can be provided by an adjustable resistor and can be set by rotating the knob (1). The fixed resistance value can be achieved by passing the low volume position of the resistive track (8). The spring (4) may be fixedly connected to the knob (1).
