The compressor incorporates spiral walls (1b,11b) which have radial inner regions (1d,11d) with a thickness greater than the remainder of the spiral walls. The grooves (20,22) for the reception of the sealing parts (21,23) have inner ends (20-1,22-1) of an increased width at the inner regions. The inner end of the sealing part (23) has a ring region (23a) which defines an opening (23a-1). The opening has an inner circumference which is coplanar with the inner circumference of the recess (24) at the inner end of the groove (22).
