Drive for continuous auger centrifuge

The drum casing of the centrifuge and the housing of a first epicyclic gear train coupled to it are driven by a main motor, while the auger is driven at a different and variable speed by a secondary motor. The latter is coupled to a first input of a second epicyclic gear train, in turn coupled to the first train. A second input, consisting of a shaft (12), a housing (8) and input shaft (13), of the second gear train (9) is coupled to a second driving motor (11). The housing of the second train can rotate on the shaft (10) of the second motor, or on the input shaft (6) of the first train (3). Speed regulation can be by a frequency converter (17), connected to the main or second motor. The first train can give no reversal of rotation, while the second can do so.
