<p>In recording a received image in an image communication apparatus, there is discriminated whether the received image is to be recorded as a color image or as a monochromatic image, then determined, according to the result of the discrimination, which of plural recording members is to be supplied, also the mutually different plural recording members are selectively supplied according to the determination, and the received image is recorded on thus supplied recording member. In this manner it is rendered possible to preferentially select an optimum recording member for monochromatic image recording and another for color image recording, thereby improving the image quality in case of color image recording and reducing the running cost in case of monochromatic image recording. <IMAGE></p> |
