METHOD FOR HYDRODESULFURIZING GAS OIL

PURPOSE:To improve the hue and cetane number by efficiently carrying out hydrodesulfurization of a gas oil in which the deep desulfurization can be performed using a specific catalyst. CONSTITUTION:This method is to hydrodesulfurize the gas oil at 300-390 deg.C reactional temperature and 1-5L/Lhr<-1> liquid space velocity under 30-150kg/cm<2> reactional pressure by using body (A) a catalyst prepared by supporting an active component using one or more metals selected from group VIb of the Periodic Table such as a molybdate and one or more metals selected from group VIII of the Periodic Table such as cobalt nitrate in combination on a carrier which is one or more components selected from the group consisting of alumina-based inorganic oxides and zeolite and (B) a catalyst obtained by supporting an active component composed of one or more metals selected from the group consisting of Re such as rhenium oxide or Ir such as iridium chloride on a carrier in combination. Furthermore, the catalyst (A) and (B) are preferably mixed for use.
