PURPOSE: To calmly and smoothly open/close a cover by adjusting a winding angle of a pair of hinge springs engaged with a hinge shaft to open/close a cover body of an upper case formed at an upper part of a rice boiler main body at a specified distance to the hinge shaft for adjusting elastic force. CONSTITUTION: An upper case 13 is provided on a main body 12 of a rice boiler 11, and a hinge shaft 15 is inserted into holes provided in the upper case 13 and a cover 14 to freely open/close the cover 14. Two hinge springs 16 are engaged at a specified distance on both sides of a center of the hinge shaft 15. An upper arm 16a of the hinge spring 16 gets in contact with a stop member 18 which is perpendicular to an inner surface of the cover 14 at a specified distance. A guide step to guide the stop member 18 in opening/closing the cover 14 is provided, and the lock member 18 is guided to a receiving space 19 when the cover 14 is closed. Elastic force of a lower arm 16b of the hinge spring 16 is adjusted by rotating a screw at a support part 30. |
