PURPOSE:To prevent an air bag body from making contact with a rivet and a bolt for fixing a retainer during expansion of the air bag body, to prevent the damage and breakage of the air bag body, to facilitate registration of the upper, the lower, the right, and the left part of the retainer, and to improve the efficiency of a mounting work. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device comprises a containment vessel 12 in which a gas generator is securely contained; and an air bag body 17 arranged on the opening 15 side for injecting gas of the containment vessel 12. The end part on the gas injection nozzle 17a side of the air bag body 17 is fixed through a retainer 19 by means of a fixing member 21, such as rivets and bolts. A plurality of recessed parts 23 in a U-shape in cross section are formed in a state to protrude along the opening 15 side for injection gas of the containment vessel 12. Protrusion parts 25 respectively fitted in the insides of a plurality of the recessed parts 23 are formed on the retainer 19 in a state to protrude externally. |
