<p>PURPOSE: To easily detect dangerous obstacles for an airplane in a front view of the airplane while assisting the piloting of the airplane at low attitude. CONSTITUTION: This method relates to a method for assisting the piloting of an airplane A at low attitude. A virtual curve related to an optimum logical flying passage for passing over obstacles is computed. In a front view area 10 of the airplane A, a) the locations of all obstacles 15-20 in a search area are determined, b) the tops 2 of the obstacles 15-20 determined are compared with the virtual curve. c) the obstacles having the tops at the highest position in terms of the virtual curve are defined as dangerous obstacles 16, 18, 20, and d) the coordinates of the tops 2 of the dangerous obstacles 16, 18, 20 are notified.</p> |
