PURPOSE:To prevent a lowering of engine efficiency by rotating a pump at a low speed when an engine is rotated at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A pump 14 of a power steering shaft for vehicle, of which pump shaft 17 is connected to a crank shaft of an engine 21 through a belt or the like and which feeds the pressure oil to the power steering device for vehicle, has shaft housings 43, 44, which are provided with a built-in pump shaft and arranged freely to be rotated in relation with this pump shaft and connected to a belt or the like, and electric viscous fluid 45 filled between the shaft housings and the pump shaft. Furthermore, a voltage control device 49 for applying voltage in compliance with the engine speed between the shaft housings and the pump shaft is provided. |
