PURPOSE: To well join a plurality of workpieces made of a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of workpieces 10A-10D, 12 to be joined mutually are laminated so that the inner surfaces of them are matched mutually and high frequency vibration is applied to the inner surfaces of the workpieces so that the motion of vibration becomes the matching direction of workpieces mainly. The thermoplastic material of the inner surfaces is softened and fluidized by the dissipation of vibration energy and, when vibration is completed, the thermoplastic material is cured to join the workpieces mutually. High frequency vibration is given by a horn 38 constituted so as to pref. resonate as a half wavelength resonator at an ultrasonic frequency in the range between 16 and 25 kHz. |
