PURPOSE: To provide a bandage for wounds, excellent in exudate absorbency and enabling access to and visual observation of wounds, by attaching an absorption means on an adhesive base which makes contact with a wound and the surrounding skin, and forming a slit defining a flap whose opening is given the same size and shape as the wound when it is raised to the base. CONSTITUTION: A base 12 of a bandage 10 for wounds has a first opening 15 in a closed state and a second opening 16 piercing through the base 12. A pad 14 for wounds is designed to fit the top of the second opening 16 and if necessary its inside. The first opening 15 matches a wound in shape and size. To fix the pad 14 for wounds on the base 12 and the second opening 16, the first opening 15 is closed, and the second opening 16 forms an unwinding, easy-to-pass course for removing excess wound exudate. Since the first opening 15 needs to be opened only for an examination or treatment, almost all the wound area makes contact with the hydrocolloid adhesive 18 of the base 12 at the closed position. |
