CAST COATED PAPER FOR INK JET RECORDING, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain cast coated paper having excellent blank paper surface gloss, excellent ink jet recording (printing) aptitude and cast operability. CONSTITUTION:A coating soln. containing a polymer having a glass transition point of 40 deg.C or higher and obtained by polymerizing a monomer having ethylenic unsaturated bond is applied to the undercoating layer containing pigment and adhesive provided on raw paper to form a cast coating layer. This coated raw paper is brought into contact with a heated mirror surface drum under pressure in a wet state to be dried to produce cast coated paper for ink jet recording. Especially, in the production of the cast coated paper for ink jet recording, the surface temp. of the mirror surface drum is set to below 90 deg.C and lecithin is added to the cast coating soln. as a release agent.
