PURPOSE:To provide a heat transfer recording medium for a bar code which is the heat transfer recording medium having a release layer and hot-melt colored ink layer in this order on one side of a base and a printed image which does not cause dusting, is clear and excellent in durability is formable. CONSTITUTION:In a heat transfer recording medium, a release layer contains 50-100wt.% polyethylene wax having a melting or softening point of at least 100 deg.C and a vehicle of a hot-melt colored ink layer contains 50-100wt.% carnauba wax.
