PURPOSE:To provide a replicable recombinant DNA containing a specified plasmid vector and a specified DNA and capable of artificially controlling manifestation of the DNA coding a useful peptide. CONSTITUTION:This recombinant DNA contains (A) a plasmid vector such as phIFP1 bonded to interferon-alpha having the base sequence represented by the sequence formula and (B) a DNA coding a polypeptide except interferon alphae.g. a DNA coding human erythropoietin or human interferon-theta. In addition, a transformant is obtained by transferring the recombinant DNA to a mammal- derived host cell.
