PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a judging device by judging the failure of a motor from the value of back electromotive voltage occurring in a motor in a device for returning brake liquid collected in a reservoir tank through a motor-driven pump in the case where wheel lock occurs during braking. CONSTITUTION:The start of running is detected from a sel-motor start signal by a running start detecting circuit 1, and when a brake liquid returning motor 30 is actuated, a delay means 4b outputs a latch signal to a latch means 4c when a fixed delay time has elapsed from the point of time of the inputting of a signal from a detecting means 4a for detecting the ON/OFF command signal of the motor 30. The terminal voltage Vi supplied through a A/D transducer 5 to the motor 30 is thereby taken in, and compared with a reference voltage Vo by a comparing means 4d. In the case where the inertia of the motor 30 is small, and Vi is smaller than Vo, the motor 30 is judged to be abnormal, and the above judging action is repeated within the limit of nine times to secure the reliability of the judgment of failure. |
