PURPOSE:To manufacture a cation exchanging material, which has sufficient cation exchanging function and can be formed into a prescribed shape, from fly ash by a simple means at high production yield. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide such as sodium hydroxide, etc., or an aqueous solution of an alkaline earth metal hydroxide is added to fly ash while happening of solid-liquid separation being prevented and the resulting mixture is formed, dried at normal temperature or in heating conditions to manufacture a cation exchanging material. |
