PURPOSE: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition, containing fenoprofen and diflunisal and caffeine and having immediately effective and strong analgesic and antiinflammatory actions. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains fenoprofen or diflunisal or a salt thereof as an active drug in an amount of 125-500 mg and caffeine as an adjuvant for the active drug in an amount of about 60-200 mg. The composition is capable of eliciting stronger analgesic or antiinflammatory response than that in the case of administering only an analgesic drug or an antiinflammatory drug and hastening the onset of the analgesic or antiinflammatory response. The composition can be formulated into a tablet, a capsule, etc., for oral administration or a suppository, etc., for rectal administration or a sustained release form. |
