The abrasion resistance coating material comprises a synthetic resin substrate i.e. thermoplastic polycarbonate, copolyester carbonate or thermosetting diethyleneglycol bisalkyl carbonate, a primer layer contg. methyl methacrylate/ methacrylic acid copolymer resin and ultraviolet absorbing or stabilizing agent i.e. hydroxy benzophenone, benzotriazole, cyanoacrylate, benzylidene malonate, hindered amine or nickel thiocarbamate, and an organo siloxane type hard thin film contg. colloidal silica. The primer layer has a 0.1-5.0μm thickness. The coating material increases an adhesive strength without the generation of a microcrack.
