A rolling bearing comprises a seal secured in a groove 1 in an outer race A and having a lip entering a tapering groove 5 in the inner race B without engaging the walls of the groove. The seal is elastic with a reinforcement ring 4. In Fig. 1 the lip has frusto-conical side surfaces 12, 13 and cylindrical surface 14, the groove having side walls 8, 9 and bottom wall 10 each concave and of different curvatures. Either or both of side surfaces 12, 13 are concave in Figs. 3-8 (not shown) and the lip overlaps the shoulder 7 in Figs. 6-7 (not shown). Side walls 8, 9 are frusto-conical in Figs. 5, 6 and 8 (not shown) and wall 10 is cylindrical in Fig. 8 (not shown) |
