The system includes a loudspeaker cabinet which provides not only sound reproduction, but also some other independent function. Accordingly, the cabinet includes a loudspeaker part (PHP) and a supplementary part (PUS). The two parts may be mounted together in a single housing, or may comprise two separate housings which may be joined or separated as required. The loudspeaker includes a supply derived from an amplifier (4), whilst the supplementary part may include its own electrical supply (EN). The secondary function provided by the system may be that of ionising the air, humidifying the air, or a light.
