PURPOSE:To complete data transfer early. CONSTITUTION:A path switch 2 outputs data to be transferred which are stored in a buffer 1 to one of a data compression part 3 and a transmission queue 4. The data compression part 3 compresses the transferred data from the path switch 2 and outputs the compressed transferred data to the transmission queue 4. A shifter 5 transfers data to be transferred in the transmission queue 4 to a transfer destination in order with the transmission clock generated by a transmission clock generator 8. A compressing process start judgment part 6 judges whether or not the data to be transferred in the buffer are compressed on the basis of the value of a total transmission wait data size counter 7, the transfer rate from the transmission clock generator 8, and the value of a register 9, and outputs a control signal based upon the judgment result to the path switch 2 and data compression part 3. |
