PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus performing the lateral sealing of a package suitable for use in a product having high viscosity or containing particles such as grain, fruit seeds or fibers so as not to form a sealed flap or fin where product residue is ready to gather. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sealing a packaging laminated material containing at least one metal foil and coated with a thermoplastic substance has the inductor 1 connected to a high frequency current source. The inductor l has three parallel conductors 2, 3 arranged in an electrically insulating carrier portion 4 along with a core material 5 comprising a magnetic material. The conductors 2, 3 are arranged so that the current densities in the planes 7 of the conductors 2, 3 become equal. |
