PURPOSE:To eliminate a noise component by changing polarization characteristic from the outside and to obtain information on the line of sight by rapidly and accurately detecting a Purkinje image. CONSTITUTION:Specified polarized light is projected to a photographer's eye in specified timing by a light projecting part 1, and only the specified polarized light of reflected light reflected from the photographer's eye is transmitted through a polarizing part 3, then the polarized light transmitted through the polarizing part 3 is received by a light receiving part 2 synchronizing with the light projecting timing. Then, a polarization characteristic varying part 5 is arranged in front of at least one of either the light projecting part 1 or the light receiving part 2, and selectively switches between the polarized lights the same as and different from the projected polarized light so that reflection information on the eye to which the light is projected in the specified timing may enter the light receiving part 2 time sequentially. |
