PURPOSE:To provide a required time computation device for a navigation system for a vehicle with which required time can be determined speedily in a simple structure without requiring a sensor. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a road line selecting means 2 to select a road line, destination specifying means 1, 2 to specify a destination or distance post, current position specifying means 1, 2 to specify a current position or distance post, and a running speed setting means 2 to set a running speed. A computation processing means 7 is provided to compute required time to the destination based on the road line selected by the road line selecting means 2, the destination or destination distance post and current position or current position distance post specified by the destination specifying means and current position specifying means 1, 2, and the running speed set by the running speed setting means 2. A display means 3 is provided to display the road line, the destination or destination distance post, the current position or current position distance post, the running speed, and the required time. |
