PURPOSE:To cancel irritation or redialing during waiting time caused by continuing a silent state, prolonging time to search a portable equipment to be called and making exchange connecting conditions unclear after dialing on a call originating side portable equipment in a private radio telephone system, for which plural repeaters are distributedly arranged, composed of plural zones. CONSTITUTION:During time (T0) from dialing on the call originating side to the transmission of a ring back tone (RBT) from an exchange corresponding to a response signal from the call terminating side, a signal SRT (search request tone) showing the state under searching the call terminating side portable equipment is transmitted from the exchange to the call originating side portable equipment.
