PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient electroluminescence driving device using a small inductor without using a large transformer. CONSTITUTION:Transistors Tr1, Tr4 mutually repeat turn-on/off at a first frequency. A transistor Tr2 is turned on/off at a second frequency faster then the first frequency during the turn-o of the transistor Tr1. The energy stored in an inductor L1 during the turn-on of the transistor Tr2 works as the electromotive force at an instant when the transistor Tr2 is turned off, and an EL element is charged with positive voltage through a diode D2. Similarly, during the turn-on of the transistor Tr4, the transistor Tr3 is turned on/off at a third frequency faster than the first frequency, and the energy stored in an inductor L2 works as the electromotive force, and the EL element is charged with negative voltage through a diode D3.
