<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the detection time in a line of sight direction measuring apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An illuminator 1 and an illuminator 2 are turned on alternately by an illumination control part 11. Reflected light from an eyeball M is divided into optical paths by a half mirror 31 via a cylindrical lens 31 at a sensor part 3, and its divided images are formed by one-dimensional line sensors 34, 36 via cylindrical lenses 33, 35. Imaged outputs of the individual one-dimensional line sensors are A/D-converted, and they are stored in a memory 6 as an image data string. By using the image data string, a cornea-reflected image and a pupil center are extracted by a first cornea-reflected-image extraction part 7, a retina-reflected-image center-of-gravity-position extraction part 8 and a second cornea-reflected-image extraction part 9, and a three-dimensional line of sight direction is extracted by a line of sight direction computation part 10. Since the one-dimensional sensors whose scanning time is short are used, a sampling rate is high, and the input time of a signal is short. As a result, the signal processing time is shortened sharply as compared with a two- dimensional-direction scanning operation.</p> |
