PURPOSE:To regulate the rotational speed of a motor depending on the magnitude of load being applied to the motor. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 delivers a command to an inverter 2 for varying the rotational speed of an elevator motor 3. A signal representative of the magnitude of output current is fed from the inverter 2 back to the controller 1 which then alters the value of command being delivered to the inverter 2. Furthermore, an encoder 4 detects rotation of an elevator motor 3 thus determining the speed. This constitution protects the elevator motor 3 against damage due to heavy load and can finish the operation within a minimum time by regulating the rotational speed of the elevator motor depending on the magnitude of load. |
