PURPOSE:To take a photograph in which a subject opens his(her) eyes and locks to be expressive without the waste of film in a camera. CONSTITUTION:Light from an LED 33 for illuminating a subject is projected to the subject at the time of photographing and reflected light therefrom forms an image on an imaging device 38. Whether or not the eyelids of the subject are opened is detected based on a pink-eye effect, and the state of the subject just before shutter release is stored in a RAM 28, and a shutter 16 is opened. Meanwhile, the opening/closing state of the eyelids in the midst of actuation by a shutter release 25 is compared with the state just before the shutter release. When the eyelids are closed, a warning about it is given by a buzzer 23 at the time of finishing photographing, film 17 is fed and releasing is performed again. In the case of detecting that the eyelids are closed in the midst of releasing, the state of the eyelids is detected again, and the shutter is automatically released after detecting the eyelids are opened. |
